Mantra Meditation Friday, 6:30-8:30 PM
Join us for some gentle stretching and relaxation followed by an introduction to Mantra Meditation. Mantric yoga uses sound to help shape consciousness. Repetition of mantras can be used to silence our inner dialog, allowing us to experience a deeper level of silence. We will explore the Universal Mantra - So Haun, and experience how to use it to achieve a relaxed, alert and centered state of consciousness.

Attitude in Asana Saturday, 9–Noon
In this asana class we will experience how attitude can impact our performance and our enjoyment of our yoga practice, and also have significant impact on our health. We will use different attitudes to increase our strength, endurance, flexibility, balance, relaxation and alignment. We will also learn how to use attitude to stretch not only muscles but also fascia and connective tissue. Once you have learned how to use attitude to enhance your practice of yoga, it will be easy to see how you can use these same attitudinal adjustments to enhance the quality of your life beyond the yoga studio. This class will be oriented to students with at least a beginner series or equivalent experience.

Aligning with Basic Asanas Saturday, 2-5 PM
In this asana practice we will focus on several of the core poses of yoga, including Down ward dog, Cobra, Triangle pose etc, and work on improving our understanding and experience of the poses. Alignment becomes increasingly more important when we practice yoga regularly and for longer periods of time. Proper alignment can help prevent future injuries and conditions. Just as importantly, proper alignment can help us see immediate benefits in our practice, including increases stamina, balance, strength, and joy.  This class will be oriented toward intermediate level students who are interested in deeper and more effective poses. Charles will close the workshop with a deep guided mediation.
Art of Stretching Sunday, 1-4 PM
Learn three different ways to approach a passive muscle stretch and when to use each approach to optimize not only the experience of stretching, but also the results. We will practice each of these approaches in a variety of asanas. Students will be encouraged to experiment in order to find out for themselves which of these approaches best meets their needs in a variety of situations. We will also look at tricks you can use in active stretches in some of the most common asanas as well as working with sandbags. The techniques and approaches to stretching covered in this workshop can be used to give immediate improvement in students personal practice and also in their studio practice as well. If you have attended this class with Charles before, he has updated this workshop.
