Awakening the Chakras with Asana and Art: Part 1 Gentle, spontaneous, multi-media Yoga Workshop Experience the Chakras through Asana and Art!Saturday, February 21, 2009 Cheryl Alexander, RYT 500
· Yoga Space, 804 Main Street, Kerrville, Texas · 1pm-4 pm · $45 tuition includes art supplies· Dress comfortably; bring a yoga mat, a cushion and journal or sketchbook…art supplies and paper provided· WEAR RED…, even if only a red bandana, or red undies! This is the color of the Root Chakra, associated with groundedness, security, stress reduction, connection to the earth
The “Awakening the Chakras” series are Experiential Conversations between Asana and Art. The process creates a dialogue between your body and art. We will experience how the body speaks in the language of art. We will create 2 images: first, of the blockage encountered at the Root (first) chakra. Then, after applying a “Yogic antidote”…we will create a 2nd image of Awakening! Part 1: the Root Chakra centers on “getting grounded”, dissolving fear, and feeling strong and unshakable as we walk on Mother Earth! |
